BUCHANAN FARMERS’ MARKET

SUSTAINING OUR LANDSCAPE

SATURDAY JULY 31ST

The Buchanan Farmers’ Market features local passion.  Find the highlights of our agriculture and forests Downtown Buchanan every Saturday morning, 8 am – 1 pm, on Buchanan Common.

Specialty vendors described below are committed to providing the best quality products available in our area.  Invest your money in the healthiest foods available:  the fruits and vegetables, and tasty proteins, raised in our geologic atmosphere provide the seasonal nutrients our bodies need for good health.  Also at the Farmers’ Market, revel in the outstanding creativity of human hands on our nature.  While eating healthy, and getting to know your neighbors and farmers, realize the impact of your dollar on the great support of our local economic community.

Concord Ridge Fruit Farmsis owned by Terry and Tina Holloway and family.   Located on Walton Road between Niles and Buchanan.  The Holloway’s have a beautiful roadside stand throughout the week and can be found at the market on Saturdays.  Specializing in orchards and fruit, the Holloway’s have fresh picked peaches and blueberries currently, as well as locally produced honey and local farm fresh eggs.  Also available is an exceptional apple butter, a long family recipe.  Concord Ridge Fruit Farms was the first produce vendor to attend the Farmers’ Market back in 2005.

‘Out of the Woods’ Rustic Designs – by Bill Martin of Buchanan.  Bills artistic eye keeps his woodworking exciting and original.  Bill hand-hewns benches, stools, and tables out of area sassafras, creating his own style, or making something to order.  Bill also whittles intricate designs on creative walking sticks, and creates bird houses and other rustic entities.  Visit Bill at the Farmers’ Market and purchase that sassafras bench you’ve always wanted, at a good price.

Roseland Organic Farms Beef and Pork – of Cassopolis, is a family business, ran by Merril Clark and her children.  Meet Toby Clark at the Farmers’ Market and sample the certified organic beef and pork, raised organically on their farm.  Roseland Organic Farms is the first beef and pork farm in Michigan to be Certified Organic.  Enjoy the flavor of your favorite meats, raised without hormones, on food without pesticides.   The ham steaks and burger patties come strongly recommended.  Also occasionally hear Toby play live on the keyboard.
